Membership Obligations

Sweeps & Sculls is a member-driven organization and as such, relies on member volunteer support. Members are asked to support the organization through the many service opportunities and boathouse duties. Volunteers help with many things such as facility maintenance, running learn to row clinics and learn to row days that help recruit new members, helping to run programs, volunteering for our indoor regatta, helping with fundraising efforts and much more. There is currently not a set number of volunteer hours that members need to fulfill. However, opportunities are communicated to the group throughout the year and members are expected to volunteer when they can within reason. Those that volunteer a minimum of 100 hours during a year may be eligible for an Annual Volunteer Membership.
